Stephen Curry’s father will be at Madison Square Garden on Tuesday night to watch him potentially make NBA history against the New York Knicks.
With the Golden State Warriors star needing just two 3-pointers to break Ray Allen’s all-time record, his dad Dell Curry told NBA writer Marc Stein he’ll be traveling to New York to watch Tuesday’s game in person.
Dell Curry, currently broadcasting Charlotte’s game in Dallas, told me he’ll be traveling to New York tomorrow to be in person for his son’s moment and said he would have made the same trip even if Stephen Curry had broken Allen’s record tonight.

Dell, who works as a color commentator for the Charlotte Hornets, was asked last week about what it’s been like watching his son near the 3-point record.
“In Chicago the other day, I saw LaVar Ball at the game wearing a hat that said: ‘I Told You So,'” Dell said, according to Shaun Powell of NBA.com. “Well, my hat would say: ‘I Had No Idea.'”
